Personally, I love when fonts come with additional glyphs, especially with calligraphy fonts. Sometimes, fonts will include multiple sets of glyphs which increases the variation of how the final typography will look like. Glyphs can give fonts such a different feeling than the original and can help enhance your overall design so much.
To see and use the glyphs that come with your font, make sure you have a file open in Adobe Photoshop and have created a text box. Then go to Window > Glyphs.
The Glyphs menu will then pop up and show all the different glyph options that the font has. In this example, I am using the font Noelan (which you can download for free here).
